Gabe from Copy Meets Design is a seasoned Amazon seller. He has been selling successfully online since 2000 and on Amazon since 2009.
Now, he is helping other brands to climb up Amazon search results. It is a complicated process of following ever changing algorithms and using right search terms.
While Gabe’s website was full of useful content, it lacked visual appeal – the pages were blank with only blocks of text for a content. Black and white template didn’t indicate Amazon association. No images or banner were added.
To improve site conversion and appeal, Gabe got in touch with Ecommerce experts at Rock Paper Copy through Facebook group.
Bold & Beautiful
We began the project by changing the template color palette to Amazon blue [found in brand colors directory], with company’s orange as accents.
Homepage banner was designed using famous Amazon box man, giving it an instant association with a brand.
We used Amazon’s own font to create text and add CTA [call to action] to encourage clicks. Additionally lengthy paragraphs were broken using simple and bold images with captions signaling the content of each paragraph.
Bold & simple branding is characteristic to Amazon and we kept it when optimizing Gabe’s website.
SEO & Content
Key phrases on each page were highlighted in bold and linked to correlating page within a website, improving Copy Meets Design SEO and customer journey.
Each page was also optimized with informative and SEO friendly H tags, meta titles and descriptions.
All existing text was also proof read with Bausch-Kincaid tool and checked using word-cloud.
