Nicole from Heritage Acres runs a busy farm in Pueblo West, Colorado. Along raising poultry and organizing seasonal sales, she has to keep up with the demands of a modern customer - and have an online presence.
Her website, built on a Shopify platform, had plenty of useful content and few products to purchase. Yet it lacked the farm branding – it was black and white with uneven pictures; some of the products had missing content.
Homepage was bland and didn’t have a banner or CTA [Call to Action] to encourage visitors to click further. Nicole, wanting to keep up with a growing competition, decided to reach for help of freelance content strategist at Rock Paper Copy
Design and Content
We started the work by changing the website colors to more farm oriented greens.
The banner image was designed to promote Nicole’s planned Host-a-Hive program. It had a strong eye-catching motif of a bee keeper and a bold CTA to promote click-through.
Collection page along Services page has also received a transformation with custom design images and titles. This further built farm branding and gave Nicole more upmarket and professional feel.
We have also re-written all product descriptions, adding scan-able bullet points and CTA to prompt the purchase.
FREE 7 Day SMM
We re-styled two hidden pages: Host-a-Hive and Summer Coop offering serviced packages.
To complete the project, we delivered FREE 7 Day Social Media Marketing.
With a help of Hootsuite, we created posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and scheduled them in the required time zone.
Nicole loved the work on the website and said: “Maggie! You are AMAZING! Everything looks perfect so far! I am so happy we are working together. You are a miracle worker! I cannot tell you how many hours I've spend absolutely frustrated, because I could not modify Shopify's layouts. I honestly don't know know you do it!”
