Are you a morning or an evening person?
One can rise at 4am and feel fresh as daisies, other one has problem waking up before 11am. One feels more creative right after breakfast, the other gets inspired late at night. You know your type – and know exactly your ‘peak’ times.
I always felt for people struggling in the mornings – especially if there was a work / school to go to. But they could lie in for hours on their days off – and stay up late to watch movies. For some reason best movies are aired after 10pm. Now that is too late for me.
Early riser or night owl?
I’m a typical early risers, haven’t got any issues with lack of sleep of early starts. But on the other hand, I’m totally switched off in the evenings. I enter snooze zone between 9 and 10 pm these days – and there’s no way to keep me up – even for new series of ‘First Dates’.
You’re lucky if job allows you to follow your natural rhythm – e.g. you work afternoon shifts if you love sleeping longer. Or you can focus on morning office meetings, if you are an early riser.
Many self-employed people start their companies while working full-time for somebody else – they are able to stay up late and develop their business after everyone else goes to sleep. That’s a very admirable discipline. You have to make your natural body clock best feature and use it to a full potential.
That’s the secret of most successful entrepreneurs!
