Design and Update
Cheryl from 4ward Thinking is a busy mom of three. Her home based business, specializing in handmade cloth nappies Cheryl makes with her family, was in dire need of update.
While being occupied with finishing new diaper designs, Cheryl didn’t have the time to update her website or a blog. The last post featured in the website’s footer mentioned Valentine’s Day promo, bad considering it’s now April, as we write it. Homepage was bare and had no banner or a logo, just three pictures of what looked like printed bundles.
Cheryl decided to contact freelance content strategist at Rock Paper Copy for assistance.
Navigation and CTA
FREE website critique found that a lack of clear Call To Action on a homepage was causing high bounce rate.
Customers landing on a main page were puzzled to what the product was. We designed bold visual banner with a product image, description and CTA. This improved customer journey, site navigation and reduced the bounce rate.
Featured collections were replaced with best-selling products, showing stunning designs on a homepage. Navigation was simplified at the top and in the footer, giving customers clear idea where to find relevant info.
Content and SEO
Cheryl had lovely story on About us page, and while giving it a personal touch, it had little power in converting readers into buyers.
We optimized the text by adding H2 and H3 tags, merging the story with the brand and linking to other parts of the store. Shipping page has also been optimized, focusing on the current FREE shipping offer.
All content has been tested with a readability tool and a word cloud. We found two Long Tail Keywords for Cheryl and used them when creating a blog post.
Cheryl loved the changes and asked for help with future content. Anytime, Cheryl!
